The Memo of Parties (sometimes called the cause title in a longer form) formally names and describes every petitioner/plaintiff and respondent/defendant to a proceeding, along with the address at which each is to be served, and their capacity (e.g. an individual, a company through its director, a government department through its secretary). Its accuracy matters directly for service of notice and for the court's own record of who is bound by the eventual order.

Checked by the registry at the filing stage, and referred back to whenever service or impleadment of a party is in question.
